Walmart Photo Center Hours

⚠ All hours are estimates only

While Walmart has a tendency to open around eight in the morning, the photo center usually doesn’t open until nine. Monday through Saturday the hours are nine in the morning until nine at night. Sunday hours are a little shorter, starting at ten in the morning and closing at eight at night.

It may seem odd to the younger people that a store would still have a photo center, but there are still some film cameras. Single use cameras are often used at weddings, reunions and other celebrations where many hands make for more memories. Some also want digital pictures made into print pictures. Check your local Walmart Photo Center for details.

Finding a Walmart Photo Center near me used to be easy. There were four of them. However, since then one has closed, one has turned into a Walmart grocery store and one may be on the way out. However, the main Walmart Photo Center … the first one to open in Simi Valley, is still going strong. It is on Cochran St. east of Madera Rd. The photo center is near the back of the store where the electronics are kept. See the map below for details.

While there, check out the garden center and the craft department. For those who like to sew, knit or crochet, there is cloth, yarn and all of the sundries needed. There is a craft cooking section as well. For those who enjoy canning, they sell the items needed at good prices.

Walmart Photo Center has come to a lot of cities and towns. Because it does offer lower prices than other stores, it can quickly become the only store available. That said, they are ideal for those on a budget. Many stores offer fresh foods, including fruits and vegetables and can make a great oasis in a food desert.

There is another major benefit to Walmart Photo Center. They allow those who have campers, RVs and travel trailers to boondock overnight or for a few nights. Many have dump stations available so that those who like to travel can empty black and grey tanks. Because they carry groceries and camping supplies, the RV crowd often shops there and spend at least one night.

Before boon docking at Walmart Photo Center, it is a good idea to check with the store manager. Most stores have an area they prefer that the campers use and there are generally a few rules. Also, some cities don’t approve of Walmart doing that, which the manager can explain if needed.
