No Frills Hours

⚠ All hours are estimates only

No Frills hours have not changed much due to COVID-19, some are closing an hour earlier, but health care workers may be given priority admission when there is a line to get into the store. These particular stores do not often offer pick up services, but many have been renovated to increase space between aisles and better lighting.

No Frills is a member of the Loblaws family of stores, with SuperStore and Shoppers Drug Mart. While No Frills hours may be varied, it is best to check your local store before planning your shopping trip.

What Time Does No Frills Open ?

No Frills opening hours are very standard for a deep discount supermarket. As the early morning light is just starting to seep through the windows, No Frills hours begin at the typical hour of 8 am. Better still, this remains the same throughout the entire week, excepting Mondays - closed.

What Time Does No Frills Close ?

No Frills hours for closing are also similar to most other discount stores, although they do remain open for a bit longer than many do. For instance, the most common closing hours for No Frills is 9 pm from Tuesday to Saturday.

Sunday will have later closing hours at No Frills, usually closing at 7 pm, while Monday the store is closed.

You won’t find a lot of extra things at No Frills, there will be no TVs or video games, but you will find the groceries you need and want, without paying for the extras.

Stores are not closed on holidays, except for Christmas Day. There may be reduced hours during other holidays, please check your local No Frills store hours for holidays at nofrills.ca and choose store locator at the top right of the page.

The No Frills chain of stores is exactly as described, there are none of the frills or extras that some other stores have. While other stores under this umbrella have clothing sections and carry home and automotive supplies, as well as books and electronics, while the No Frills stores have groceries with few extras, while many have a pharmacy. This helps them to keep the prices lower then many other stores, and create a faster, more streamlined shopping experience.

Currently there have been adjustments to business hours at No Frills stores, like many others. They have limited the number of customers in the store at any time, which may create lines outside so there are prepared areas for any line ups that occur and social distancing is followed. For lining up to check out of the stores they have moved lines further from the tills, and have marked the floor with social distancing lines to keep everything the correct distance apart, as well as placing arrows on the floor to show which way to go down each aisle.

By having aisles be one way people do no need to pass each other in the aisles, helping to maintain distance between customers. There have been shields installed at the check out points to protect both customers and staff, and it is recommended you use debit or credit when you can to avoid cash changing hands. No Frills have increased stock levels to keep all the necessary items in stock as much as possible. While many of the recent adjustments will return to normal, there may remain systems and tape on the floor to help guide line ups at checkout and the plexiglass shields by the tills will likely remain.
